Apex Resources are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients dynamic team in Paisley . The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial in supporting our shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all materials are handled with care and precision.

Please note that due to the nature of the business manual handling and heavy lifting involved, so ideal candidate must be physically fit.

Counterbalance license is essential for the role.

Duties:

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.

Move materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement in designated areas.

Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.

Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.

Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse environment is preferred.

Valid counterbalance license

Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment.

Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly, with a focus on safety and ergonomics.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems is desirable.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

The pay rate will be £13.10.

Overtime rate £19.65

The hours will be dayshift hours Monday – Friday 08:30 to 17:00
