Description

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of food safety, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food preparation and production. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes served in the restaurant.

Duties

* Lead and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

* Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.

* Ensure all food preparation and production adhere to strict food safety standards and regulations.

* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

* Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.

* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.

* Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to maintain high standards.

* Manage kitchen budgets effectively while minimising waste and maximising efficiency.

* Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.

* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management practices.

* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

* Exceptional organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in food presentation.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

* A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development.

* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams
