Hours: Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week (Day Shift)

Are you a mechanically skilled technician with experience in high-speed production environments? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Back End / LSM Necker Technician to join a leading manufacturer in the canning industry, based in Rugby.

About the Role

As part of the Engineering team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving high-speed can-making equipment. Your work will directly support the production of high-quality metal packaging used by some of the world's most recognized brands.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on Back End and LSM Necker machinery.
Conduct daily checks and continuous monitoring of plant and production equipment.
Support equipment overhauls, height/diameter changes, and mechanical upgrades.
Assist with installation, trials, and commissioning of new machinery.
Complete work orders using the Apriso system within agreed timeframes.
Rebuild unit spares and manage spare parts inventory.
Provide training and support to team members and cover shifts when required.
Operate FLT and perform machining tasks (turning, milling, grinding) as needed.

What You'll Bring

Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical/Engineering or equivalent experience.
HNC/HND qualification desirable; electrical qualifications are a plus.
Experience in the canning or metal packaging industry is highly advantageous.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Flexibility to support other areas and travel if required.

Desirable Attributes

FLT license (or willingness to train).
Familiarity with Apriso or similar maintenance systems.
Ability to work independently and under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
