Description

Commissioning Consultant required for a major CHP power plant project in Germany.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the commissioning process for their gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and auxiliary systems.
Ensure the successful integration of the cogeneration system, including thermal energy recovery for industrial or district heating applications.
Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists per clients OEM standards and industry best practices.
Conduct performance tests and validate operational efficiency, emissions compliance, and system reliability.
Collaborate with engineering teams, operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure proper system functionality.
Provide technical training and documentation for plant personnel to ensure seamless operation post-commissioning.
Diagnose and resolve startup issues, working closely with representatives and site teams.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations during commissioning activities.
Identify optimization opportunities for improving turbine efficiency, heat recovery, and plant reliability.Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
Process Engineer or I&C Engineer by trade.
10+ years of experience in commissioning Siemens combined cycle gas turbines.
Strong knowledge of Siemens turbine control systems, startup sequences, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience working in cogeneration power plants with thermal energy integration.
Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, IEC, ISO) and regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
