Deputy Head of nursery Schools ((Nursery Manager experience)

This small group of Froebelian Nursery Schools, based in South London is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate, and capable Deputy Head of Schools to join their dedicated and diverse team within their settings for children aged from six months to five years old. This Deputy will work alongside the Head of Schools at their Head office and across their 3 nursery settings, providing support to their managers, able to assist in the improvement of service in each of their schools.

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

25 days Annual Leave

Their opening hours are 8am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday, closed on all Bank Holidays, 2 Inset days, one Staff Appreciation afternoon, Christmas Eve and for the week between Christmas.

Requirements

You must have a minimum Level 3 qualification (Degree or Level 5 Management qualification desired) in Early Years and/or Education and Child Care

At least three years’ experience of managing a nursery and experience of dealing Ofsted

Excellent problem solving abilities

Enthusiasm to develop future educational practice

Must have the right to work in the UK, no convictions or cautions, clear DBS

Who are they?
The Nursery Schools' aim is to raise the profile of the Froebelian approach by creating a group of small Froebelian nursery schools that offer young children quality early years’ experience which is delivered by knowledgeable and qualified educators. We develop the skills of our team members using individual training plans and maintaining a nurturing environment for all our children and
staff.

The Role
Working for the Head of Schools to ensure the smooth operation of our three nursery schools and
assist to improve the quality of our service.

Main Areas of Responsibilities
 To improve the quality of care and education across the company
 To assist the Training team when working with the nursery teams to ensure daily delivery of
high-quality early years practice following the EYFS and Froebelian approach
 To assist the HOS in implementing the strategic vision of LTNS
 To assist the HOS to recruit, manage and retain a staff team that can fulfil the strategic vision
of LTNS and deputise for HOS when necessary
 To assist the HOS to ensure Policies & Practices are fully implemented
Additional Duties
 Cover Nursery Managers when required to do so
 To work with the HOS and inspectors during Inspections by regulatory bodies and to assist in the implementation of any recommendations thereafter
 To support the HOS to ensure current employment terms & conditions are relevant and amend / update as required.
 Assist the HOS to implement compliant nursery systems.
 Contribute to a marketing strategy which effectively promote the nursery schools including
website, social media, open days, brochure ware, signage,
 Devise content for social media and the website to best promote the company and Froebel
values
 To actively promote and support the safeguarding, equality and equity of all children in our
care

 Help to deliver an environment where children and staff recognise, value and respect
diversity. This includes different cultures, religions, languages, disabilities, members of the
LGBTQ+ community and SEND and ensure that environments, resources and activities
reflect this
 Work to reduce and maintain a low carbon footprint and improve sustainability practices in all
areas of the company
