📍 Location: Somerset (Flexible working available)
💰 Salary: £50k - £60k plus performance-based BONUS
🎯 Equity: Available upon achievement of defined milestones

Monday to Friday 8.30- 5 pm, 25 days holiday

The Opportunity

We are looking for a General Manager to act as the strategic and operational lead of My Client. Reporting directly to the Owner/CEO, this pivotal role is designed to execute our growth and exit strategy while laying the groundwork for a future transition into the Managing Director position. For the right candidate, this role offers substantial career advancement opportunities within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal individual will possess a strong commercial mindset, proven leadership experience within a manufacturing or mobility-related business, and the ability to translate strategic vision into measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations, ensuring excellence in production, quality, and customer service.
Drive growth initiatives aimed at achieving a 10% UK market share within five years.
Develop and implement commercial and operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team aligned with our values and growth objectives.
Strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and key partners across the mobility sector.
Identify opportunities for process automation, innovation, and market expansion.
Collaborate with the Owner to prepare the business for scaling and eventual exit strategies.
Manage P&L performance and report regularly on financial and operational KPIs.

About You

Proven experience as a General Manager, Production Manager, or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector, preferably anything fabric related.
Strong commercial acumen with practical experience managing production budgets and P&L responsibilities.
Established leadership experience with a track record of driving operational efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements.
Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in executing operational plans and delivering measurable results.
Excellent communicator and leader with the ability to inspire teams and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
Ambitious, reliable, and motivated by the challenge of driving a growing SME towards market leadership.What We Offer
