Facilities Engineer - Dundee

Peopleforce Recruitment are supporting a global leading healthcare company in search for a facilities engineer in Dundee. This is an individual contributor role responsible for providing engineering support and advice to ensure the smooth and timely repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems. In addition, this role supports building services to maintain site standards in a compliant and efficient manner. The Facilities Engineer will also provide callout cover as required (24/7). We are looking for someone with electrical or mechanical or automation expeirence.

Key Accountabilities

*

Work within a cross-functional team to ensure efficient operation of critical and automated systems, continuously reviewing performance and maintenance history to drive efficiency improvements.

*

Ensure all building services are maintained to a high standard, with preventative maintenance completed on time and demand maintenance closed out efficiently (target <30 days).

*

Lead and support quality investigations relating to facilities, utilities, and critical equipment.

*

Facilitate and support system upgrades, change management, and validation processes.

*

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including A3 investigations, performance reviews, and OEE improvements.

*

Provide frontline maintenance support for plant and production equipment including HVAC, refrigeration, water purification, and critical production systems.

*

Plan and oversee small building and equipment projects, liaising with contractors for day-to-day repairs (electrical, plumbing, joinery, etc.).

*

Attend and contribute to meetings, proposing ideas to improve communication, efficiency, and productivity.

*

Take full accountability for workload, ensuring compliance with site policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

*

Maintain strong working relationships across departments and operations teams.

*

Engage in ongoing professional development and site training initiatives.

*

Carry out other duties as required by the Facilities Manager or Department Manager.

Requirements

*

Modern Apprenticeship Level 4 / HND / HNC (or equivalent), and/or relevant facilities engineering experience within a regulated industry/environment.

Background & Skills

*

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or maintaining automated equipment.

*

Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) — Maximo experience preferred.

*

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

*

Experience in process engineering or PLC controls would be an advantage
