Description

Senior Cable installation Engineer required for a major Offshore Wind Developer based in Germany

Requirements

Proven track record in engineering and execution of at least two offshore wind cable installation scopes
8+ years of experience in subsea cable installation (array/export cables)
Strong technical understanding of cable routing, burial, and installation methodologies
Willingness to travel to fabrication, load-out, and offshore sites
Familiarity with applicable standards (DNV, IEC, etc.)
Experience with client-side project development or consultancyResponsibilities

Provide subsea cable input into the other project packages during the design phase and define the working interfaces within relevant packages.
Prepare and execute relevant documents for the cable installation ITT Technical evaluation Transportation and Installation proposals during tender stage
Assess technical aspects of tenders
Write & advise on contract technical requirements & specifications
Perform/oversee engineering calculations
Review method statements and risk assessments
Coordinate within the project of assignment, as well as across-projects to ensure delivery as per objectives and company standards.
Provide input to the risk and programme analysis.
Preparation for execution activities and required interfaces, supporting on technical aspects of transportation and installation.
Coordinate and communicate with Principal Contractor and Site Management teams, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Employers Inspectors, Engineers, and Contractor's Offshore Installation Representatives.
Ensure offshore works procedures are being carried out in accordance with the Employers Requirements and best industry practice
