An established and respected regional civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team in Hampshire. With a strong presence across the Southcoast and Southwest, the company delivers high-quality, sustainable solutions across a broad range of sectors, including infrastructure, marine, energy, water, and public realm projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Estimator to play a key role in a varied and high-profile project portfolio. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values technical excellence, innovation, and a meticulous approach to detail, all while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

As Estimator you will:

* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of civil engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on marine and coastal infrastructure works.

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare tender submissions.

* Identify and assess project risks, constraints, and opportunities during the tender process.

* Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, procurement teams, and external consultants to develop cost-effective solutions.

* Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure value for money and compliance with project requirements.

* Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings as required.

* Prepare and maintain a database of historical costs to assist with benchmarking and future tenders.

* Contribute to the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.

* Stay informed about industry trends, cost developments, and emerging technologies, especially in the marine and coastal sectors.

Our client is recruiting an Estimator with:

* Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or construction industry, ideally with a focus on marine/coastal infrastructure (e.g., sea defences, harbours, breakwaters, marine piling, port developments).

* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations related to marine and civil works.

* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

* Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Candy, Conquest, Causeway, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

* Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.

Salary & Benefits:

* £50,000 - £90,000 per annum depending on experience
