Description

A rapidly expanding manufacturer of advanced electronic products and systems to the Aerospace & Defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Divisional Trade Compliance Manager. A new role due to increased global demand, you will oversee all aspects of trade compliance across multiple manufacturing sites in the UK & EU. Applicants are sought with a good understanding of Global Trade Compliance preferably in the aerospace, defence or high technology sectors.

The Role

Design and introduce programs and best practises to ensure compliance with global legislation.

Lead and manage trade compliance activities across multiple sites.

Develop, implement, and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance standards are upheld, this includes ITAR and EAR regimes and dual-use regulations.

Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on classification, licensing, and restricted party screening.

Manage relationships with external regulators and authorities.

Lead trade compliance training initiatives for employees across the division.

Identify and assess any compliance risks, issues and provide mitigation strategies.

Support audits, investigations, and corrective actions as required.

The Person

Proven experience in global trade compliance, preferably in aerospace, defence or high-technology sectors.

Strong knowledge of UK, EU, and US export control regulations.

Experience with ITAR, EAR, and dual-use controls highly desirable.

Proven track record of introducing new policies and practices..

Strong understanding of government filing and shipment declaration systems and the ability to run reports for compliance tracking.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
