TITLE: IT Support SpecialistTERMS:6 Month Contract to Hire TARGET COMPENSATION: $30-35/hr. LOCATION: Waltham, Boston MA TARGET START DATE: TBDCOMPANY SIZE: 150+INDUSTRY: Bio Pharmaceutical NOTES: Remotely then Onsite in Waltham, MA

THE POSITION:



* We are seeking a talented and motivated IT Support Specialist to join the IT group at Company .This position will support and interface with all levels of the organization including scientific personnel, executives and business operations employees and will contribute to the success of company goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a computer inclined individual to start an exciting career in Information Technology.



RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:



* Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for desktops, notebooks, software and IT services.

* Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues research questions using available information resources

* advise users on appropriate action follow standard help desk procedures identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.

* Provide basic networking and remote computing support (VPN, Remote Desktop, etc.)

* Maintain and provide technical support for phone/fax systems, printers, copiers, audio/visual and teleconferencing equipment in conference rooms.

* Draft, create and maintain documentation for IT processes and infrastructure.

* Communicate and provide hands-on training to employees on new technology or IT equipment (Examples: Two-factor authentication and scientific software troubleshooting)

* Other projects when assigned



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



* Bachelors degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience

* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in a heterogeneous desktop and server environment

* Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems including basic Windows systems administration

* Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word

* Resourceful and excellent customer service skills

* Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

* Excellent organizational skill to prioritize project timelines effectively and ability to multi-task on competing priorities

* Eager to learn with can-do attitude

* Need a strong candidate with a Go-Getter attitude and willingness to learn.

* Why is the position open- Opening an office out in Boston and need dedicated IT support for 50-60 users in that office.



SKILLS:



* Active directory, Windows 10, Office 365 Admin, OKTA, Cisco Meraki



TOP SKILLS DETAILS:



1. Strong desktop support experience within Windows 10 environment.2. Experience being an Office 365 Admin, Okta Admin, Active Directory & Zoom for A/V support. 3. Strong attention to detail and great customer service.



ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:



IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST



* Sole IT Support for the Boston Market. 50-60 users. 250 users in total. Most users in Fremont. Commercial team is remote. Everyone is in US.

* Team is 10 FTEs have 2 contractors in Service Desk.

* Active Directory create users, password resets. Assign OUs. Security groups, disruption list.

* Office 365 Admin

* Cisco VPN

* OKTA SSO- Admin doesnt need to make any major changes. Just knowledge. Assigning file systems.

* Cisco Meraki wireless network. Basic knowledge.

* DocuSign exp nice to have. Basic troubleshooting.

* Zoom Rooms A/V Exp. Zoom Phones as well. All hands.

* They are willing train a candidate

* Looking for great soft skills, some executives in that office.

* Person will start WFH and helping support Fremont team.
