Job_Description



The Senior Financial Writer will be responsible for driving sales through

marketing-related efforts, while reinforcing the John Hancock Investment

Management brand through a wide variety of investment writing.



Key_Accountabilities

* Maintain an in-depth understanding of the investment industry, financial

markets, product details, and portfolio management styles to deliver

confident writing at multiple levels of sophistication.

* Develop highly collaborative relationships with portfolio managers,

analytics, relationship managers, account management, compliance,

product, and sales to ensure effective campaigns and programs.

* Confidently write executive and advisor communications, marketing

collateral, social media, blog posts, and white papers.

* Deliver integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns.

* Ensure a consistent brand experience across all customer touchpoints and

across all media (traditional and digital).

* Monitor and report on effectiveness of ongoing/existing sales and

marketing programs, relative to competitor activities and current market

conditions. Recommend strategic shifts as necessary to maintain the

competitiveness and market viability of our products and services.



Job_Requirements_(Knowledge/Skills/Competencies)

* 10+ years of writing experience in the asset management or financial

journalism industries

* Bachelor degree required. CFA, MBA or advanced degree a plus

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Ability to interact with a diverse group of senior stakeholders

* Well versed in a wide range of financial products and accustomed to

describing financial markets, products and economic activity in clear,

direct language

* Resourceful, with ability to thrive in a hectic environment

* Effective collaborator

* Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns

* Leadership experience

* Results-driven, highly collaborative

* Strong project management, written, and oral communication skills
