Key Responsibilities:

Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the specific needs outlined in the student’s EHCP, ensuring their educational and personal development goals are met.

Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement and adapt strategies that meet the child’s needs.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where the student feels supported and valued.

Use positive behaviour management strategies and trauma-informed practices to help students regulate emotions and behaviours.

Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress, challenges, and any incidents, ensuring regular communication with the wider team.

Requirements:

Proven experience in UK schools working with children or young people with additional needs, ideally supporting those with EHCPs.

Familiarity with conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and trauma-related behaviours, and confidence in using appropriate support strategies.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with students, staff, and families.

Patience, resilience, and a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment.

Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential.

What We Offer:

Competitive pay rates with weekly payments.

Access to ongoing professional development, including specialized SEN training.

Support from a dedicated team at Vision for Education to ensure a positive placement experience.

Flexible working arrangements tailored to your schedule.
