The Role

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering an engaging and diverse curriculum that encourages students to explore their artistic abilities. You will help students develop their skills in a range of artistic forms, from traditional techniques such as drawing and painting to modern media such as digital art.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver inspiring art lessons across a variety of mediums, ensuring that students of all abilities are challenged and supported.

Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques, helping them develop their skills while expressing their unique creativity.

Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and refine their work.

*

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Art Department, sharing resources, ideas, and best practices to ensure high standards across the curriculum.

Extra-Curricular Activities: Support and contribute to extra-curricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and school projects, providing students with additional opportunities to showcase their work and develop their skills further.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

Experience: While we welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers, experience teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is preferred.

Passion for Art: A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through their work.

Collaborative and Enthusiastic: We are looking for a team player who is eager to contribute to a positive and creative environment within the department and school.

Commitment to Student Success: You should be dedicated to helping all students achieve their best, regardless of their prior experience or ability in art.
