An independent boarding school near Minehead is recruiting a Head of Chemistry to take responsibility for the strategic leadership and operational management of the Chemistry department. You will deliver outstanding teaching, lead curriculum planning, and coordinate enrichment opportunities that enhance student learning.

You will inspire both students and staff by promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for Chemistry, ensuring high standards of academic achievement and personal development.

Experience and Qualifications

Leadership experience in a Chemistry teaching role, ideally within an independent or boarding school setting

*

Qualified Teacher Status with Chemistry specialism

*

Strong knowledge of current examination specifications and curriculum frameworks

*

Excellent interpersonal and management skills to lead and develop staff

*

Commitment to boarding school life and student wellbeing

*

Eligibility to work in the UK
