Teacher of Geography - Full-Time, Permanent Position

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Teacher of Geography to join our thriving Humanities department from September 2025. At our esteemed independent school in Cambridge, we are dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of the world's physical and human landscapes, encouraging critical thinking about global issues. This is a superb and permanent opportunity for an engaging educator to ignite curiosity in bright, articulate students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE Geography), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level Geography).

Your Role and Responsibilities:

* You will deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons that explore diverse topics from tectonics and glaciology to urbanisation and global development.

* You will foster a love for fieldwork, data analysis, and spatial reasoning, preparing students for real-world geographical challenges.

* You will meticulously prepare students for success in public examinations, cultivating both academic excellence and genuine intellectual curiosity.

* You will provide insightful and constructive feedback, guiding students to refine their analytical and interpretative skills.

* You will contribute actively to our rich extracurricular programme, such as geographical societies, field trips, and debates on contemporary issues.

Who We Are Looking For:

* You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent, relevant teaching qualification.

* You will possess a strong academic degree in Geography or a closely related environmental/social science field.

* You will have proven experience teaching Geography successfully across all key stages, with a particular strength in A-Level preparation.

* You will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, a passion for geographical inquiry, and innovative pedagogical approaches.

* You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a dynamic and inquisitive classroom environment.
