Full-Time Permanent Teacher of French - Join Our Dynamic Cambridge Independent School

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Teacher of French to join our dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department in our independent school in Cambridge from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to the academic success and sophisticated communication skills of our enthusiastic students from Key Stage 3 to A-Level.

What the Role Involves:

* You will teach engaging and rigorous French lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and Key Stage 5 (A-Level).

* You will guide students in developing advanced reading comprehension, critical listening, confident speaking, and accurate written French.

* You will explore diverse aspects of French and Francophone culture, history, and contemporary issues, fostering a broad and informed perspective.

* You will provide thorough assessment, constructive feedback, and targeted support to ensure every student reaches their full potential.

* You will actively contribute to the broader school community, including involvement in language clubs, school trips, and cultural events.

Who We Are Looking For:

* You will be a qualified teacher (QTS desirable, or demonstrable excellence in an independent setting).

* You will hold a Bachelor's degree in French or a relevant MFL subject.

* You will have experience teaching French across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level.

* You will possess excellent linguistic proficiency in French (C1/C2 CEFR equivalent or native speaker).

* You will have excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to meticulous planning.

* You will demonstrate a genuine desire to contribute positively to the international outlook of our independent school.
