The Opportunity:

A vibrant and well-established primary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teacher to make a real difference in the lives of Year 6 pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons for Year 6 students, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the National Curriculum.

Assess and track pupil progress regularly, using a range of assessment tools to inform teaching and support students in achieving their full potential.

*

Create a positive and dynamic classroom environment that encourages high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic excellence.

*

Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent, high-quality approach to teaching and learning across the school.

*

Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, regularly updating them on their child’s progress and fostering an open line of communication.

*

Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

A strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students.

*

Experience in assessing pupil progress and using data to differentiate instruction and ensure that all students succeed.

*

Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to foster a positive, respectful, and focused learning environment.

*

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

*

A commitment to professional development and a passion for helping students reach their academic and personal goals.
