The Opportunity:

A welcoming and innovative primary school in Bexley is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher to join their team in September 2025. Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver inspiring and differentiated lessons for Year 6 students, ensuring full coverage of the National Curriculum and preparing students for their next steps.

Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, using a variety of tools to track development and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.

*

Create a positive and motivating classroom environment that encourages engagement, high standards of behaviour, and academic success.

*

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency in teaching and learning across the school.

*

Build strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and involving them in their child’s educational journey.

*

Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

In-depth knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, effective lessons that support all learners.

*

Strong experience in using assessment data to inform planning and provide targeted support to pupils.

*

Excellent classroom management skills, with a focus on fostering a positive, respectful learning environment.

*

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.

*

A commitment to professional development and a passion for helping students reach their academic and personal goals.
