Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Procurement Officer to join Nottinghamshire Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In this role, you will:

*

Manage low to medium value tenders and quotes across a range of goods and services

*

Support procurement through mini competitions using national and local frameworks

*

Work with commissioners to finalise service specifications

*

Assist with procurement benchmarking, supplier spend analysis and legislative compliance

*

Provide procurement guidance and support to internal stakeholders

*

Use procurement and financial systems (e.g. SAP, e-procurement tools)

About you:
You will have relevant procurement experience, ideally within the public sector, and an understanding of procurement legislation and best practice. Strong communication, organisational and negotiation skills are essential. CIPS membership (or working towards it) and experience with procurement systems will be advantageous.

Hours - 9am to 5pm.

Hybrid - 2 days on site with 3 days working from home.
