We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher for a high-achieving 2-form entry school in Barking, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position. Interviews will be held as soon as possible.

Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 6.

* Support students through SATs preparation, ensuring they are confident and well-equipped for their transition to secondary school.

* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear learning targets.

* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and a love for learning.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership to ensure high-quality curriculum delivery.

* Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

* Participate in school meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities as required.

Year 6 Teacher Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Previous experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2.

* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation.

* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* A team-oriented approach and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.

* Commitment to continuous professional development and best teaching practices.
