Overview:
We are working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 building contractor to recruit a Project Manager for a high-profile new build school project in the Ebbw Vale area. This is an excellent opportunity to join an award-winning, highly successful construction business with a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-quality schemes across South Wales and beyond.
The Role:
You will take full responsibility for the delivery of a new build education facility, overseeing the project from start to finish. Upon successful completion, there is the potential to move onto a much larger scheme locally, offering continuity and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the project team, including site staff and subcontractors, to deliver the project safely, on time, and to budget
·Manage all aspects of construction delivery, including programme, quality, cost control, and client liaison
·Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
·Coordinate with design, commercial, and planning teams to drive the project forward
·Act as the main point of contact with the client, stakeholders, and local authorities
·Report to the Contracts Manager and contribute to strategic project planning
Requirements:
·Proven track record as a Project Manager on similar new build projects (ideally education, healthcare, or public sector)
·Experience working with a Tier 1 or reputable main contractor
·Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
·SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Platinum), and First Aid qualifications
·Full UK driving licence
