Class 1 Casual Driver

Location: Spar, Cullompton
Shift: Zero hour contract, casual

About the Role

Safely unload vehicles, typically completing multi drop deliveries per day, ensuring goods are managed with care and efficiency.
Unloading of caged goods from vehicles into customer stores. This will involve manual handling, full training will be provided.
Deliver goods to depots across the Southwest, adhering to planned schedules and route requirements.
Provide outstanding customer service, engaging professionally with clients at delivery points to represent the company positively.
Maintain clear and consistent communicationwith the transport team, offering real-time updates to support smooth operations and manage customer expectations.
Participate in regular training sessionsto stay current with operational procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.Essential Skills and Qualifications

Full UK Class 1 (CE) Licence- essential for operating articulated vehicles.
Valid Driver CPC (DCPC) and Digital Tachograph Card- ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
Experience with fridge trailersis beneficial, but full training will be provided for those new to refrigerated transport.
Previous experience delivering directly to client sitesis advantageous and demonstrates confidence in customer-facing roles.
Strong commitment to customer service, with a professional and courteous approach at all times.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Confident and polite communicator, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
