Description

This role is all about leading the development of smart, forward-thinking HR policies and managing employee relations with confidence and care. You'll work across teams to ensure people practices are legally sound, easy to apply, and aligned with the organisation's goals, you'll also manage a team of up to five people.

Description

Lead the design and rollout of employment policies that are clear, compliant, and easy to use.
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, helping managers navigate complex situations with confidence.
Collaborate with HR teams and leaders to embed people practices into everyday operations.
Use data and feedback to spot trends, improve processes, and shape future policy direction.
Deliver training and resources that build understanding and capability across the organisation.
Stay ahead of legal and workplace trends to ensure policies remain relevant and effective.
Support a culture of fairness, accountability, and continuous improvement in all things HR.
Manage a team of uo to five people

Profile

Have a strong background in HR policy and employee relations, ideally in a complex or unionised setting.
Know how to turn legal requirements into practical, people-friendly guidance.
Are confident managing sensitive issues and providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
Enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships across teams.
Are analytical, organised, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. CIPD) or have equivalent experience.
Has managed a small or large team before

Job Offer

A competitive salary circa £46000
26 days annual leave, rising to 30 days between 2 - 5 years' service and 33 days after 5 years' service (plus bank holidays)
