Are you a passionate and energetic Music ECT looking for a supportive school where creativity is celebrated? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Weston-super-Mare is looking to appoint a Music ECT for a full-time, permanent role from September 2025.

This school has a well-respected performing arts department and places strong emphasis on music and cultural education. As a Music ECT, you’ll be supported in your professional journey while delivering inspiring lessons that help students develop both technical skill and personal expression.

Key aspects of the Music ECT role:

Teaching Music at KS3 and KS4, focusing on performance, composition, and theory

*

Developing student confidence through practical music-making and ensemble work

*

Taking part in extra-curricular music clubs, concerts, and school performances

*

Planning inclusive lessons that engage all learners regardless of background

*

Using a range of music technology and resources to enhance learning

*

Collaborating with your mentor and the wider Arts faculty for ECT support

*

Participating in CPD and whole-school activities as part of your induction

We’re looking for a Music ECT who:

Is finishing a PGCE or School Direct course in 2025 and holds a Music degree

*

Can demonstrate a commitment to inclusive music education

*

Has strong musical skills and a confident, encouraging teaching style

*

Is ready to contribute to wider school life and enrich the music department
