Year 4 Teacher & Subject Lead – Full-Time, Permanent – Gloucester – September 2025 Start

Are you an experienced and inspiring teacher with a passion for leading curriculum development? We are seeking a Full-Time Year 4 Teacher and Subject Lead to join our vibrant school community in Gloucester from September 2025. The Role:

As a Year 4 Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils, ensuring progress and enjoyment in learning. In addition, as a Subject Lead, you will take responsibility for leading and developing your chosen curriculum area across the school, supporting colleagues, and driving improvements to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Year 4 National Curriculum.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing timely feedback and support.

*

Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

*

Lead a curriculum subject area, developing schemes of work, resources, and assessment strategies.

*

Support and coach colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching standards.

*

Collaborate with leadership to set and achieve school-wide objectives for your subject.

*

Communicate effectively with parents and carers about pupil progress and curriculum developments.

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

*

Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.

*

Proven leadership experience or potential, particularly in subject leadership.

*

Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment frameworks.

*

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

*

A collaborative, creative, and reflective approach to teaching and leadership.

*

Passion for driving high standards and inspiring both pupils and colleagues.
