My client, an innovative, diverse Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, in the beautiful, northern Cathedral City of York, North Yorkshire.

Essential Criteria:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
Good knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S106, etc.)
Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other, similar software packages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
A willingness to learn and consistently develop technical skills through hands-on experienceIt would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following:

Some professional experience, particularly with flood risk and drainage
Working knowledge of a range of additional software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.
A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field
Good time management skillsAs a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a team of expert design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:

Contributing to abroad range of projects developing flood risk and drainage strategies
Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard and within given timeframes
Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, drawings, and models
Liaising with a range of public and private stakeholders
Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
Developing and maintaining client relations
Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelinesIn your role of Graduate Civil Engineer, you will have access to a number of benefits, including:
