📍 Based in Redditch, Worcestershire - easily commutable from Bromsgrove, Droitwich Spa, Worcester, Solihull, Alcester, Evesham, Kidderminster, Halesowen, Stourbridge, and surrounding areas
💼 Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + competitive benefits

Are you an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership skills and a solid background in both machinery upkeep and facilities management? Our client, a well-established and innovative manufacturer, is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Lead to take ownership of equipment reliability, safety compliance, and facility efficiency.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing a small on-site maintenance team. You'll manage the maintenance and smooth running of both production machinery and the site's mechanical, electrical, and building systems - ensuring operational continuity and compliance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the on-site maintenance team to ensure high performance and reliability
Manage and improve preventative and reactive maintenance strategies
Prioritise and assign internal maintenance work and coordinate external contractors
Monitor maintenance KPIs, budgets, and performance data to drive improvement
Ensure uptime and operational effectiveness across production and facility equipment
Maintain compliance with all relevant EHS standards, audits, and training requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and QHSE teams
Keep accurate records of maintenance activity and cost trackingAbout You

Strong background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance role
Familiar with quality and safety standards (QMS, EHS, audits)
Excellent communication, planning, and diagnostic skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and maintenance tracking/reporting systems
Knowledge of CNC or automated machinery maintenance is desirable
Primarily site-based in Redditch; occasional travel within Europe may be requiredWhy Apply?
