Description

Our client, a leading organisation within the utilities and telecommunications sector, is seeking a dedicated SHEQ Advisor to join their growing Communications division. This permanent role focuses on ensuring compliance, driving best practices, and fostering a strong SHEQ culture across operational sites in London and the Home Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing professional SHEQ guidance to site teams, contractors, and clients
Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
Conducting regular audits and inspections to assess SHEQ performance
Supporting the investigation of accidents and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventative actions
Promoting proactive safety reporting, including near misses, hazards, and observations
Ensuring project documentation (CPPs, QMPs, Risk Registers, Method Statements) is up to date
Monitoring welfare facilities on sites to ensure they meet required standards
Championing SHEQ culture, setting an example with leadership and best practices
Assisting in maintaining the Integrated Management System and supporting SHEQ digitalisation

Job Requirements:

Experience in a SHEQ advisory role within utilities or engineering (preferably in communications/fibre)
IOSH/NEBOSH Certified.
Working knowledge of NRSWA, HSG47, ISO 14001 & 45001
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Paying up to £55,000 per annum negotiable
