Mechanical Design Engineer | Oil & Gas | Valve Manufacturing

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in the Oil & Gas industry or valve manufacturing? Do you have a strong understanding of materials, specifications, and regulatory standards? This is an exciting opportunity to take technical ownership of product design, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency in engineering documentation and bill of materials (BOMs).

As a key technical authority, you will work on optimizing designs, improving product documentation, and collaborating with global clients to deliver efficient, high-performance engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Drawing & Technical Ownership
✔ Oversee and maintain all product drawings and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
✔ Review, standardize, and improve bills of materials (BOMs) for consistency and clarity.
✔ Develop and manage detailed technical documents for product designs.

Mechanical Design & Development
✔ Work with cross-functional teams to optimize valve and oil & gas-related product designs.
✔ Apply mechanical engineering principles to enhance product performance, efficiency, and manufacturability.
✔ Identify and specify materials to meet industry requirements and optimize design integrity.

Customer & Sales Liaison
✔ Act as the technical bridge between sales and engineering teams, ensuring alignment on customer needs and design feasibility.
✔ Engage with global clients, understand their technical requirements, and deliver tailored engineering solutions.

Material Specification & Application
✔ In-depth knowledge of materials used in oil & gas, valve manufacturing, and high-pressure systems.
✔ Advise on best materials for specific applications, ensuring durability, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Industry Standards & Compliance
✔ Ensure all designs comply with ASME, ASTM, BS, and EN standards for valve manufacturing and oil & gas applications.
✔ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.

Key Requirements:

✅ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
✅ Proven experience in mechanical design for oil & gas, valve manufacturing, or high-pressure systems.
✅ Expertise in pneumatic systems, hydraulics, and precision engineering.
✅ Strong CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
✅ Excellent communication skills to collaborate internally and engage effectively with global customers.
✅ Ability to optimize technical specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes.
