Aldridge

Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm

Friday 8am – 13.30pm

£12.21 per hour with pay review following temporary period

Job role:

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator with who will manage the logistics operations / movement of goods within our client’s warehouse and yard.

Key responsibilities as Transport Coordinator will include:

* Arranging cost effective transport for customers within the external haulier database, sending email confirmations and raising purchase orders.

* Booking in customer deliveries to site where required, using customer own systems e.g. datascope.

* Co-ordinate other FLT drivers within the company onto required tasks

* Maintain company booking in procedures and calendar diary to avoid traffic congestion within business

* Creating and printing delivery notes

* Communicate clearly with drivers.

* Receive goods, booking in delivery notes.

* Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to coordinate flow.

* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines.

* Remain vigilant and focused in a fast-paced working environment.

* Other various office duties as/when required.

Skills we are looking for in the Transport Coordinator:

* Experience of working in a fast-paced logistics environment (desirable).

* Team player.

* Good communication skills.

* Full training will be provided for the right candidate
