Kenect Recruitment are currently hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV / Moffett Driver based in Stratford. This is a short-term assignment covering the weeks commencing 23rd and 30th June, offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with a reputable employer.
Role: HGV Class 2/ Moffett Driver
Contract: Temporary (23rd June – 5th July)
Hours: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday - Friday
Pay: £20.17 per hour
(Inclusive of £18.00 basic rate + £2.17 holiday pay)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a 26-tonne HGV fitted with a Moffett forklift
* Load and unload goods safely and efficiently using Moffett equipment
* Complete daily vehicle and equipment safety checks
* Deliver goods to various sites, ensuring timely and professional service
* Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with company procedures
* Follow all relevant road safety, transport, and health & safety regulations
* Perform daily vehicle and Moffett forklift safety checks and report any defects
* Deliver goods to various customer and site locations in a timely and professional manner
Requirements:
* Valid HGV (Category C) licence
* Valid Moffett licence
* Valid CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
* Experience operating a 26-tonne vehicle with Moffett forklift
* Strong awareness of safe loading practices and vehicle compliance
* Good communication skills and time management
