Rural Surveyor

Location: Shipston on Stour

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a unique firm of Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Estate Agents in their search for a Rural Surveyor. With regional offices from the Midland Counties and Cotswolds, they have extensive local knowledge and business experience. The company has strong relationships with local professional firms and plays a pivotal role in the communities that it serves with over 200 staff and consultants working out of 14 offices.

Candidates are required to have:

RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor

Registered Valuer and FAAV, preferred, but not essential (support can be given for these qualifications).
Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice
Have a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care
Be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
Pro-active and business minded
Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
Strong organisation skills - able to prioritise own time and workload
Ability to work well on their own and as part of a Team

What does the role involve?

Estate and Property Management
Diversification and Planning
Valuations, Taxation and Succession planning
Landlord and Tenant, preparation of Farm Business Tenancies, Grazing Licences and Contract Farming Agreements
Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants
Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions
Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims
Renewable energy and Woodland Management
