Description

Our client, a reputable subcontractor specialising in Joinery, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in their office in Essex. This is a great opportunity for someone with sector knowledge in joinery, drylining, flooring or ceilings.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the commercial and contractual requirements across multiple joinery packages
Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts
Assess subcontractor accounts, variations, and payments
Monitor costs against budget and report commercial performance
Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams
Support the tendering and pre-construction process when requiredRequirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, coming from a subcontractor’s environment.
Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts.
Excellent numeracy, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
Based in office or on site
Qualification is Quantity Surveying is an advantage. 

Package:

Salary £60k.
Private Health Care after 12 months service
Pension – After 3 months service
Hours 8am – 5pm
20 days annual leave increasing by 1 day per years’ service
Mobile allowance monthly
