Children’s Registered Manager

Brand-New Residential Service

£50,000 per annum

Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established national provider who specialise in residential, supported living, respite, educational and day opportunities services for children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and complex needs. Together, we’re looking for a Registered Manager for their brand-new children’s residential service based in Preston, Lancashire, supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the brand-new 3-bedded service, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

You’ll be responsible for the leadership and management of the staffing team, overseeing the efficient delivery and development of the service whilst working closely alongside the Senior Management Team, where together you will ensure the children receive the best care. You will possess a deep working knowledge of health and social care, particularly in relation to Ofsted rules and regulations. Moreover, you will also require strong people management and communication skills, as well as sound commercial understanding.

Essential Criteria

* You’re an experienced, passionate, and compassionate leader who is ready for a fresh challenge

* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)

* At least 2 years’ experience within a management position in a children’s residential care setting

* A strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards

* A proven track record of supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism or mental ill health

* Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills

* A drive to build something special – a service that truly transforms lives

* Driving License: Full UK required

Location

The role is located in Longton, Preston and is commutable from Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Preston Central, Fulwood, Southport, Ormskirk, Chorley, and Blackburn.

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial conversation with the Quality & Practice Development Lead, then a formal face-to-face interview with the Senior Management team.
