Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Reading
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £105 - £145 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term

An inclusive and welcoming primary school in Reading is looking to appoint a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning across the school. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025.

What you'll be doing:

Leading whole-class lessons in the absence of the teacher
Delivering group interventions and supporting pupil progress
Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessments
Supporting behaviour management and pupil wellbeing
Collaborating with teachers and SENCO to support individual learning needsWhat we're looking for:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a primary school
Ability to lead lessons independently
Strong communication and organisational skills
