Science Teacher - SEMH Boys' School (Tooting)
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term

Are you a compassionate, resilient Science Teacher with a heart for nurturing young minds supprting significant social, emotional, and mental health?

A dedicated all-boys school in the Tooting area is looking for a Science Teacher (open to Primary and Secondary qualified) who can provide not only academic guidance but also emotional support to students who may have struggled in mainstream education. This role offers a truly meaningful opportunity to shape lives, rebuild trust, and re-engage pupils in their learning journey.

The school caters to supporting children with a range of behavioural, emotional, and social needs. Many present with complex backgrounds and require a teacher who is empathetic, consistent, and able to build strong, nurturing relationships within a structured yet caring environment.

What We're Looking For:

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
✅ Experience working with students with SEMH needs-or a strong passion for inclusive and restorative education
✅ Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm, empathetic approach
✅ Ability to inspire, motivate and connect with learners through creative and personalised science teaching
✅ Someone who is patient, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely committed to helping boys overcome barriers to learning
✅ A team player who thrives in a close-knit, supportive staff culture
