Location: Newark-on-Trent
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS1 - MPS6)

Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and inclusive primary school located in Newark-on-Trent, which is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a mixed group across Year 1 and Year 2, delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in accordance with national expectations. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire, challenge, and support all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.

Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress using school systems and assessment frameworks.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND or additional learning requirements.

Establish effective communication with parents, carers, and colleagues to support pupil development and wellbeing.

Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participation in staff meetings, training opportunities, and school events.

Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, professionalism, and classroom management.

What we looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (either Year 1 or Year 2) is highly desirable; however, strong Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.

Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
