NextGen Teachers are currently working in partnership with a local academy trust based in Bradford. The role of Student Support Officer is for a lovely Primary School based in Bradford BD15. The Primary School is rated GOOD by their recent Ofsted and achieved OUTSTANDING in three areas.

We're looking for a Teaching Assistant or Pastoral Assistant who would be interested in a role that focuses on student well-being and attendance. The role of Student Support Officer is to monitor student well-being, behaviour, attendance and punctuality. This is a great role for a candidate who enjoys a varied role where each day includes different duties.

We're seeking a candidate who has a nurturing personality and has strong knowledge around general SEN and SEMH needs within the classroom and has the ability to implement strategies to support the pupils correctly.

The role of a Student Support Assistant in this school will be to:

1st point of call on the schools radios
Monitoring well-being of pupils in a morning and throughout the day
Monitoring attendance and punctuality of pupils, completing calls to parents where necessary
Supporting and managing the behaviour of the studentsThe employment contract includes:

12 weeks holiday per year (school holidays)
Working 6.5 hours per day
