A great Field Service Engineer role, we really want an accomplished and qualified Multi-skilled Engineer who has specific experience of fault finding AND specifically of modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s (or similar) used in end of line packaging machinery.
 
We are the UK sales and service office of a major European manufacturer of end of line packaging machinery sold into the food, beverage and logistics / pallet markets.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £50,000
 
BENEFITS:
· Overtime to earn circa £60,000
· Hybrid company car
· 10% Pension
 
LOCATION: Home based and ideally living in the Midlands or North of England
 
COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Leicester
 
JOB DESCRIPTION: Field Service Engineer, Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer - Siemens PLCs, industrial capital equipment, packaging machinery
 
A classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, installation and commissioning of end of line packaging machinery with specific emphasis on working with PLC`s, ideally capable of fault finding, modifying and upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.
 
You will be covering the whole of the UK and Ireland, and will be expected to spend 1 to 2 nights per week away from home, plus working one weekend a month on average.
 
Full training will be offered on the job and occasionally at HQ in Europe.
 
Overtime is paid door to door.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Field Service Engineer, Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineer - Siemens PLCs, industrial capital equipment, packaging machinery
 
· You MUST have a proven track record as a Field Service Engineer with hands on packaging machinery experience working in the food and/or beverage markets.
· You will be a Multi-skilled Engineer with electrical & electronic engineering qualifications and specific experience and training on fault finding, modifying & upgrading of Siemens PLC`s, or similar.
· We will consider applicants with a track record as a factory Maintenance Engineer who have hands on end of line packaging machinery experience, used in the food and/or beverage market and who have the PLC knowledge mentioned above.
