Buyer (12 Month Contract)

Hybrid optional

Location: Inverness (with UK travel)

Rate: to £23/hr (c.£45,000 pro rata)

Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week

Grafton Recruitment are working on behalf of a large manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced procurement professional to manage the procurement process for their Inverness manufacturing and assembly site. This is a 12 month temporary role with a requirement to travel to other sites and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Manage buying of materials for the site.
Sourcing product and managing supplier relationships.
Placing purchase orders and expediting materials.
Ensuring on time and in quality for materials.
Liaising with local site colleagues around production plans.
Working as part of broader UK, and international procurement team to ensure procurement strategy is followed.Requirements:

Experience in procurement, ideally with materials for manufacture.
Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Excellent commercial skills and analytical approach.
