Our client, Cheshire East Council, is looking for a Team Manager to join their Children with Disabilities Service.

We are looking for a Team Manager for the Children with Disabilities Hub in Cheshire East. The Team Manager will be responsible for managing up to 6 Family Support Workers who oversee cases where there is a package of support for children with complex needs. The Team Manager will also be working alongside another Team Manager who will manage a team of Social Workers who are responsible for managing children with disabilities who are open on a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan or subject to Care Proceedings. The expectation of the managers are to cover for one another when the other person is on leave.

The Team Manager will report to the Service Manager for the Children with Disabilities Service.

The candidate will be responsible for the operational oversight of cases including performance management and quality assurance.

The candidate will support in the continued development of the Children with Disabilities Hub alongside the Service Manager, Parent/Carers and multi-agency partners.

Our model of practice is restorative practice with a trauma and relationship based approach. We are looking for a committed and passionate Team Manager who is skilled in working with children with disabilities and skilled in developing best practice.

The working hours for this role at 8:30am to 5pm Mon-Thurs and 8:30am to 4:30pm on a Friday. The service covers the whole of Cheshire East so there is the option to work from Macclesfield Town Hall or Delamere House in Crewe. The role is a hybrid role but with the expectation that the candidate is able to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
