Turner Lovell has been appointed by a leading High Voltage and Medium Voltage engineering services company to source a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Naas. This is a long-standing business offering electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance services for significant electrical infrastructure projects in Ireland, UK and Europe.

This is a new position in the business, joining a fast growing and dynamic environment in a well-established team, and will play an important senior role in the design office.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparation of engineering drawings (substation layouts, elevations, lightning zones etc.);
Preparation of panel schematic drawings using EPLAN.
Design of protection and control schemes.
Engineering studies using industry leading software (PowerFactory, CDEGs, CYMCAP)
Preparation of equipment specifications.
Technical evaluation of equipment offers.
Technical report writing.To be considered, you should hold a minimum of an Electrical Engineering Degree with at least 5 years' experiences in design roles. You should have familiarity with HV substation design from 10kV to 220kV; familiarity with ESB standards; and proficiency in Eplan and AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of Powerfactory, CDEGS, CYMCAP would be advantageous.
