Job Title: Clinical Neuropsychologist - Brain Injury Specialist
Location: Cheadle, UK
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Reports To: Consultant Clinical Psychologist / Clinical Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Cheadle, supporting adults with acquired and traumatic brain injuries. The post-holder will play a key role in delivering neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and intervention, contributing to patient-centred rehabilitation plans and long-term recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of individuals with brain injuries.

Develop and deliver evidence-based formulations and interventions tailored to cognitive, behavioural, and emotional needs.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, and medical staff.

Provide consultation, guidance, and supervision to other professionals and support staff as appropriate.

Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.

Participate in regular clinical supervision and continued professional development.

Essential Criteria:

Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (HCPC registered).

Postdoctoral training or equivalent experience in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Chartered Psychologist status with the BPS (or working towards).

Experience working with individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injuries in a clinical or rehabilitation setting.

Excellent assessment, formulation, and report-writing skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Criteria:

Full Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).

Experience with complex neurological presentations and challenging behaviours.

Involvement in service development, teaching or research.
