We are working in partnership with one of Wales’ most well-regarded contractors, known for delivering major construction projects across multiple sectors. Following a record-breaking year and with a strong pipeline of secured work ahead, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing Assistant Quantity Surveyor with around two years’ post-graduate experience, who is looking to take the next step on the pathway towards becoming a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor. You will join a highly experienced and supportive commercial team, gaining exposure to large-scale projects and valuable mentorship to accelerate your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans.

* Support senior surveyors with subcontractor procurement and contract administration.

* Prepare interim valuations, monitor project variations, and assist with final accounts.

* Help manage risk, value engineering, and reporting.

* Work collaboratively with site teams and external stakeholders to ensure commercial goals are achieved.

Candidate Profile:

* A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in a contracting or consultancy environment.

* A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

* Basic knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT or NEC)
