Job Title: Psychology Graduate – SEN Support Roles (Short & Long-Term Opportunities)
Location: Burgess Hill, West Sussex
Job Type: Flexible (Short-Term & Long-Term Placements Available)

Are you a recent Psychology graduate eager to build meaningful experience in education and mental health? We are looking for motivated and compassionate individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools in and around Burgess Hill.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to pursue a career in educational psychology, child development, or SEN teaching. Some school placements may be in rural or less accessible areas, so access to a car is highly desirable.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting children with a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties.

Delivering tailored interventions and behaviour strategies under guidance from SEN coordinators.

Assisting in the development and delivery of individualised learning plans.

Helping pupils build social and emotional skills alongside academic progress.

Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent care and guidance.

Monitoring student progress and contributing to support plan updates.

Who We’re Looking For:

A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.

A genuine interest in child development and supporting pupils with additional needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Ability to adapt and take initiative in a classroom setting.

Experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.

Driving licence and access to a vehicle is strongly preferred due to the school’s remote location.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

What You’ll Gain:

Flexible working arrangements to suit your availability.

First-hand experience in educational and SEN settings – ideal for aspiring psychologists and teachers.

Ongoing professional support and development opportunities.

A chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

Competitive daily rates of pay.
