Job Title: Part-Time Year 1 Teacher

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Contract Type: Part-Time (0.6 FTE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday mornings only

Salary: £84-£114 per morning

Start Date: September 2025

Role Overview: We are recruiting for an amazing school that are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Year 1 pupils during morning sessions from Monday to Friday. This position is a 0.6 FTE contract, focusing solely on morning teaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 1 pupils.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and pupil engagement.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity in the delivery of the curriculum.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and any behavioural concerns.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1.
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of pupils.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
