Description

An academically ambitious and supportive school in Slough is looking to appoint a dynamic and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025. This role is suitable for both experienced Chemistry Teachers and ECTs looking to start their careers in a school that values scientific excellence and offers outstanding development opportunities.

The school is well known for its high academic standards and excellent behaviour. The science department is one of the most successful in the school, and the successful Chemistry Teacher will join a collaborative team with a passion for both theoretical and practical science.

As a Chemistry Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5

*

Planning and assessing lessons in line with curriculum objectives and school expectations

*

Promoting an active, experiment-based approach to Chemistry

*

Supporting students in developing analytical and investigative skills

*

Preparing learners for GCSE and A-Level exams with clear targets and feedback

*

Contributing to departmental planning and CPD opportunities

*

Encouraging a love of science through clubs, competitions, and trips

The successful Chemistry Teacher will:

Have a strong academic background in Chemistry and hold QTS

*

Demonstrate a clear understanding of assessment and differentiation

*

Be passionate about helping students achieve their full potential

*

Show a commitment to continued professional growth
