We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 6 Teacher for a good-rated, 2-form entry school located in Croydon, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time position. Year 6 Teacher Responsibilities

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet the needs of Year 6 students.

* Create a positive, stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.

* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for development.

* Encourage students to take responsibility for their learning and develop their critical thinking skills.

* Prepare students for transition to secondary school, ensuring a smooth progression.

* Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.

* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required.

Year 6 Teacher Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly in Year 6.

* Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.

* A team-oriented approach with a passion for creating an inclusive learning environment.

* Commitment to continuous professional development and best practices in teaching.
