An outstanding and well-respected primary school in Hertfordshire is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join their experienced Key Stage 2 team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils as they develop maturity, independence, and deeper understanding across the curriculum in preparation for Year 6 and beyond.

Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

The Role:

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the Year 5 curriculum

*

Promote independence, resilience, and responsibility as pupils enter upper Key Stage 2

*

Use assessment and feedback to drive pupil progress and inform next steps

*

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and high expectations

*

Work closely with your year group partner and the wider KS2 team to share best practice

*

Communicate clearly with parents and carers to strengthen home-school partnerships

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent experience in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5

*

Strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and expectations

*

Effective behaviour management and high-quality teaching strategies

*

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

*

A reflective, positive, and proactive approach to supporting all learners
